As observed, security is not something solely confined to the military realm.
Especially in today’s time, everything can mean security. As such, this section aims to widen the very concept of the term by analysing how different aspects of international security – i.e. pandemics, terrorism, social tension – might impact other societal spheres.
For example, how can culture, theatre, and music help mitigate domestic and international crises? How is Covid-19 affecting the entertainment and aviation industries? How are terrorism and extremism shaping major international sports events? Is there a relationship between food, restaurants, and international politics?
